Mount Abu is the only hill station of Rajasthan. Located in the Aravalli range and at a height of 1200 metres, Mount Abu is a perfect place to beat the summer heat. Here is a brief description of the place.

Dilwara groups of temples, the Bikaner Palace and the Nakki Lake are its major attractions. Wrapped in folklores and mythological tales, Mount Abu is home to 330 million gods and goddesses. It is believed that the region got its name from the name of a serpent god, Arbuda. Since the 11th century, the place is an important Jain pilgrimage centre. The tranquil and serene atmosphere is a retreat to the travellers. Dilwara Jain temples are amongst the finest temples of the country. It is one of the pride of Rajasthan. Vimala – Vasahi Temple is the oldest temple in the complex. The temple is dedicated to Adinath. The beautiful architecture of the temple is a treat to the viewers. Neminath Temple built in Solanki style of architecture is another attraction. Luna Vashi Temple, Gomukh Temple, Achalgarh Fort, the very famous Nakki Lake and the Guru Shikar, the highest point of Rajasthan all are a delight to the tourists.

February to April and August to November are the favourable time to explore the town.
Udaipur is the nearest airport which is 210 km away. Scheduled flights connect Delhi, Mumbai and Jaipur. You will get taxis from the airport to reach Mount Abu. Mount Abu railway lies between Delhi and Mumbai. Rajasthan State buses connect Mount Abu to all the neighbouring cities. Besides, taxis and cabs are available almost from all the corners of the state which ply to Mount Abu.
